The CDC updated the rabies requirements for dogs entering the United States on August 1st, 2024. Changes apply to dogs traveling from high-risk rabies countries, new standards apply to pets traveling from low-risk rabies countries.
Low-Risk and Rabies-Free
Country Rules
If your dog has ONLY been in a rabies-free or low-risk country within the last 6 months, please visit the below link to complete the CDC Dog Import form. Please print the receipt and a copy is also emailed to you.
High-Risk Rabies
Country Rules
Dogs arriving in the United States from a high-risk rabies country will complete one of the following processes. Entry requirements for the dog will depend on whether they are U.S.-Vaccinated Dogs or Foreign-Vaccinated Dogs.

Once you have determined your travel timeline, research your destination country’s import requirements. It will be a good idea to purchase the travel kennel long before the flight.
